Building Your Toolbox

Is your child struggling with coping with big feelings, frustration, or impulsive behavior? Could they use support in developing social skills?

This supportive small group helps children learn the skills they need to succeed at home and school!

Each session includes:

  • Interactive games and movement

  • Hands-on coping tools

  • Social skills practice

  • Calming strategies children can use anywhere

Children will learn how to:

  • Understand and name their feelings

  • Calm their bodies when upset

  • Handle frustration and disappointment

  • Use words instead of behaviors

  • Improve impulse control

  • Build confidence with peers

Goals

  • Increase emotional awareness and language

  • Build concrete coping skills

  • Improve impulse control and frustration tolerance

  • Strengthen social skills

  • Help kids feel empowered

Group Details

Group Leader:
→ Dr. Emily Tonn, PsyD - Specialist in early childhood development

When: Thursdays 6:00pm - 6:45pm EST

Where: Mamaroneck Conference Room

Participants needed: 5-8

*Space is limited to maintain a small, supportive group

Cost: $100 per session

Commitment: 8 weeks
