Jess Harman (she/they) works at the intersection of trauma, neurodivergence, and LGBTQIA+ identity. Their approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, humor, and respect for each client's unique experiences and strengths. She believes emotional well-being is shaped not only by personal experiences but also by the social, cultural, and systemic contexts in which we live.

Jess uses a trauma-informed, eclectic approach of modalities including cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, writing, art, laughter, somatic, EMDR, psychodynamic, and liberation psychology to create a collaborative space where clients can heal from trauma, reclaim their voice, and work toward meaningful change. They previously worked the anti-violence field for 15 years and specialize in working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or hate crimes, and survivors of religious trauma. Jess conducts pro bono forensic psychological evaluations for survivors of violence seeking asylum in the U.S. through Physicians for Human Rights.

They specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ youth, adults, couples, multi-partnered relationships, and families who are having relationship, life transition, identity, or emotional difficulties. She enjoys working with caregivers wanting guidance and support regarding how to support their LGBTQIA+ child. They provide assessments and letters for adolescents and adults for gender-affirming care. Additionally, Jess welcomes clients who are practicing or interested in practicing consensual non-monogamy, polyamory, kink, BDSM, and/or sex work.

Jess provides neuro-affirming therapy and Executive Functioning coaching for neurodivergent individuals (e.g. autistic, ADHD, OCD, etc.) and assists clients in embracing how their minds work, navigating a world that isn't always designed for them, and creating sustainable, fulfilling lives. She has specialized training in Exposure Therapy for Phobias and Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP).

Jess also offers outdoor psychotherapy and walk-and-talk therapy for clients interested in taking their therapeutic work beyond the office. These sessions integrate movement, nature, and conversation to create a grounded, collaborative space for reflection, healing, and growth. Outdoor therapy can be particularly beneficial for clients navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship challenges, as well as those who feel more at ease processing emotions while walking side-by-side rather than sitting face-to-face.
