She draws from her training in Somatic Experiencing when working with trauma, and Emotionally Focused Therapy in her relational work. Amie operates within a body liberation framework, is Health at Every Size aligned, and welcomes those who experience body-based oppression.
Amie has a passion for work around gender and sexuality, with specialties in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and romantic relationships of all structures. She also welcomes exploration of maleness, boyhood, fatherhood, and masculinity in the modern world. Amie’s expertise in attachment issues spans from early childhood, through the teenage years, and into the strong bonds of adulthood.
