PARENT COACHING
Rachel is a licensed psychologist supporting children with a wide range of educational, developmental, and emotional needs. She holds a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the Graduate Center of CUNY and a master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Hunter College.
Her experience spans both public and private settings. At the NYC Department of Education, she conducted comprehensive psychoeducational assessments across diverse school communities. In recent years, she has transitioned into private practice, where she focuses on neuropsychological evaluations to better understand each child's unique learning profile and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
Rachel also provides parent coaching and consultation, helping families better understand their child's strengths and challenges and develop practical strategies to navigate academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns. She believes in partnering closely with parents to create individualized, strengths-based approaches that support both the child and the family as a whole.
Rachel also serves as the school psychologist at a special education school, offering individual and group counseling while collaborating with families, teachers, and support staff. Outside of the school year, she continues her work as part of the care team at a day camp in Westchester, supporting children's emotional and developmental well-being. She is especially passionate about building collaborative, strengths-based plans that empower both children and the adults who support them.
